DMV Braces for Debby With Free Sandbag Distribution

(Thursday, August 8, 2024) – Tropical Storm Debby is expected to continue to inch up the East Coast and the DMV will likely feel some remnants of her wrath. Heavy rain and high winds are likely for the Washington region. A flood watch goes into effect at 8 p.m. Thursday. There is also a potential for a tornado. Flooding is a possibility along with power outages. Several jurisdictions are handing out free sandbags. Below are the locations and times.
