Drake recently congratulated the students of Streamer University for their participation, acknowledging the event’s distinctiveness. “To be able to organize this incredible academic event and gather you all in one place is something that has never been done before,” he remarked.
He also expressed admiration for Kai Cenat, dean of Streamer University, stating, “I want you all to show the most love that you possibly can for your dean, the one and only, Kai Cenat.”
Highlighting the transformative impact of streaming on the entertainment industry, Drake emphasized how it has reshaped the cultural landscape. He also gave a heartfelt shout-out to India Love, saying, “And India, India… I just wanted to say that you’ll always be my dog. You’ll always be my dog. I got love for you. I’m proud of you.”
India Love, previously linked to Drake, has more recently been associated with streamer and artist DDG, who taught “Internet Beef 101” at Streamer University.
Other notable “professors” at the event included Duke Dennis, Agnet, cookingwithkya, and Ojay Suave, each contributing to the university’s one-of-a-kind educational experience.
Separately, during a Central Cee concert in Toronto, Drake announced the return of OVO Fest, telling the crowd, “I’ll see you this summer, by the way. OVO Fest will be back this year.” He also hinted at Central Cee joining the lineup, adding, “We’ll need you there for that.”
While official details of the festival have yet to be released, OVO Fest has traditionally been held in August. If the event proceeds as planned, it would mark the first since Drake’s public feud with Kendrick Lamar. Artists from Drake’s OVO Sound roster, such as PartyNextDoor, Roy Woods, and Majid Jordan, could potentially return to the stage.
