DMV Snow Forcing School Closings and Early Dismissals

Washington, D.C. (Tuesday, January 7, 2010) – The first snow of 2020 is beginning to fall in some outskirts of DC.  Several school districts cancelled schools earlier this morning while more and more schools are now dismissing classes early.  Here’s a complete rundown.

ALL Federal Government Offices in the DC area will close 1pm today.  That Announcement from the Office of Personnel Management.


Alexandria City Public Schools: Closing 2 hours early

Alexandria Government:  Closing at 2pm

Anne Around County Public Schools:  All After school Activities are canceled

Carroll County Public Schools:  Closing 2 hours early

Catholic University: Closing at 2pm

Circuit County for Prince George’s County:  Closing at 3pm

Clarke County Public Schools: Closed Today

Culpeper County Public Schools:  Closing 2 hours early

District Court of Maryland:  Closing at 3pm

Fairfax County Public Schools:  Closing 2 hours early

 Fauquier County Schools:  Secondary School Dismiss at 11:30am:  Middle Schools at 12:30pm and no event events

Fort Detrick: 2 hours delayed arrival

Frederick County VA Public Schools: Closed Today

Hampshire County Schools: Closed Today

Hardy County Schools: Closed Today

Howard County Schools:  Closing 3 hours early

Howard University:  Closing at 2pm

Loudoun County Public Schools: Closed Today

Manassas City Public Schools:  Closing 2 hours early

Manassas Park City Public Schools:  Closing 2 hours early

Montgomery County Public Schools:  Closing 2 1/2 hours early

Prince George’s County Memorial Library:  Closing at 3pm

Prince George’s County Public Schools:  Canceling All Afternoon and Evening Activities

Prince William County Public Schools:  Closing 2 hours early
