FBI Investigating Attempted Assassination of Trump

(Sunday, September 15, 2024) – Former President Donald Trump was the apparent target of another assassination attempt. The FBI says it is investigating the attempt that occurred Sunday at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fl. Trump who was golfing at the time, was not hurt and a suspect is in custody.

No information released on the suspect. But Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw said they recovered an AK-47 with scope, two backpacks, and a GoPro camera from the bushes where the gunman had posted up just 300 to 500 yards from Trump. According to Bradshaw, it appears the gunman was planning to record his actions.

The gunman was apparently spotted by the Secret Service in the bushes. Bradshaw said that agent shot at the suspect who fled the scene in an SUV and was later taken into custody in a neighboring county.


The attempted assassination comes just nine weeks after Trump was grazed by a bullet at a Pennsylvania rally. That suspected gunman was fatally shot by agents.
