Germantown man arrested for ISIS inspired threats
Authorities say a man planned to drive a stolen U-Haul truck into National Harbor crowds in part of an ISIS-inspired plot. The Justice Department says 28-year-old Rondell Henry was arrested March 28th. Henry stole a U -Haul from a parking garage in Alexandria several days earlier. There are reports that Henry had a hatred for those who did not support his Muslim faith and was inspired by the ISIS attacks last year in France where a truck rammed into pedestrians. Henry, of Germantown, allegedly drove around to several sites including Dulles Airport, looking for targets. Henry also broke into a boat, owned by a retired Prince George’s Police officer, docked at the National Harbor. Henry is due in federal court in Greenbelt tomorrow.
