Obama and Harris Speak Out Against Trump’s Second-Term Agenda

CNN reported that Former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Kamala Harris criticized President Donald Trump’s second term. Obama condemned Trump’s efforts to reshape the federal government and intimidate dissent.

Obama expressed concern over the White House’s infringement of rights and warned of the dangers of Trump’s presidency during an interview at Hamilton College. Harris noted the fear and capitulation in the country under Trump’s administration, emphasizing the importance of courage in the face of fear.

“Imagine if I had done any of this,” Obama said, later adding: “It’s unimaginable that the same parties that are silent now would have tolerated behavior like that from me, or a whole bunch of my predecessors.”

Later Harris stated at a Leading Women Defined Summit, “There were many things we knew would happen.” She added,“I’m not here to say I told you so.”

The remarks come as Trump strikes deals with law firms and targets firms working with his political enemies.
