Quincy Jones, the legendary music producer and composer known for his work with Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, and hundreds of others, has passed away at 91.
According to AP News, Arnold Robinson, Jones’ publicist announced that he passed Sunday evening at his Bel Air home, surrounded by his family.
His family praised his incredible life and legacy. Jones’ career spanned decades and included collaborations with some of the biggest names in music and entertainment.
He was a trailblazer in the industry, breaking racial barriers and earning numerous awards for his contributions. Jones’ impact on music and culture will be remembered for generations to come.
“Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we must share the news of our father and brother Quincy Jones’ passing,” the family said in a statement. “And although this is an incredible loss for our family, we celebrate the great life that he lived and know there will never be another like him.”
