A history-making celebration set for this weekend in Montgomery County. The Pleasant View Historic Site – a 158 year old structure purchased by three Black men during Reconstruction is reopening this weekend and my guest this morning has the details of how you can join the celebration. The Pleasant View Historic Site invites the community to its Reopening celebration Saturday, June 20th from 10am to 2pm at 11810 Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg. Pleasant View is a 158-year-old heritage site founded in 1868 by three Black men who built a school, church, and gathering place during Reconstruction.
