Tucker Carlson and Fox News Part Ways

According to TMZ,” Tucker Carlson is out at FOX News — a stunning development that comes on the heels of the cable news giant’s massive nine-figure settlement of the  Dominion Voting defamation case.” The company agreed to pay $787.5 million to settle the lawsuit.

Fox stated they agreed to part ways without proving any reason. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” they added.

This comes after, the Fox News anchor has been employed by the company since 2009 as a journalist and contributor.

Carlson’s last show was Friday, April 21st, where he signed out saying, “We’ll be back on Monday.” At 8 pm ET there won’t be, “Tucker Carlson Tonight”, but instead “FOX News Tonight”  which will have a rotating chair of host to fill the slot until further notice.

A spokesperson of Dominion Voting declined to comment in regard to the departure of Tucker Carlson.
