(Thursday, April 13, 2021) – A frightening story out of Maine where a two-year-old boy has reportedly shot both his mom and dad with a handgun.
The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office says the toddler apparently got the handgun out of a nightstand. He reportedly shot the mother in the leg and his father in the head. The boy was also injured when the gun recoiled and hit him in the face.
All of the injuries are said to be non-life threatening. The couple’s three-week-old newborn, who was also in the bedroom, was not hurt.
Deputies say the toddler is now in the custody of a grandparent.
