The search is on for the person who shot and killed an 11-year-old boy in Southeast DC Thursday night. DC police say the incident happened around 7 o’clock last night in the 27-hundred block of Naylor Road near Alabama Avenue. Authorities say Karon Brown was inside a vehicle when a dispute broke out between about 5 people that included adults and children. Shots were then fired into the car with Brown inside. Police are not certain the 11-year-old was an intended target.
Surveillance video shows one man running from the scene, shirtless, wearing black pants. Police are asking for the community’s help. A 25-thousand dollar reward has been offered.
