What is steam therapy? Steam therapy is the inhalation of water vapor. The warm moist air is known to work by, loosening mucus in the nasal passages, throat, and lungs. 1. Fill up any pot you have at home with water. It can be tap water, purified water, or even distilled.

4. Turn on the stove and boil the water.
