Sandra Bland’s Family Reaches $1.9M Wrongful Death Settlement

Sandra Bland’s family attorney released a statement Thursday that the family has settled a $1.9M lawsuit for the wrongful death of Sandra Bland. The family’s compensation also includes changes to jail procedures in Waller County, Texas. Bland was found dead in her jail cell three days after she was arrested for failing to use her turn signal in July 2015.
