Educating Our Community About Alzheimer’s

There are more than 260-thousand people in our area living with Alzheimer’s.  There’s a big conference coming up this week to provide more information on this growing disease and help caregivers cope.  Joining me to tell us about the Educating America Tour is Chris Schneider – Communications Director for the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s national “Educating America Tour” is coming to DC to host a free Concepts in Care educational conference, which will provide Alzheimer’s related education and services to individuals living with Alzheimer’s, their family, professional caregivers, and the general public.  The event will be held Thursday, September 14th at the Whittemore House (1526 New Hampshire Avenue, NW) from 8:30am – 2:30pm.
