At least 3,000 Chicago students have been ordered to quarantine as the city’s number of juvenile COVID-19 cases continues to climb.
Among the schools with students who have been ordered to self-isolate is Roscoe Village High, where 408 students have been sent home for two weeks after coming into contact with two infected students, a Chicago Public Schools official reports. Another, Washington High School, has ordered 168 students to quarantine after two cases were reported, officials say.
District-wide, there are currently 160 confirmed cases, which involve 89 students and 71 staff members, according to the CPS online COVID dashboard.
