The city where Aretha Franklin grew up is honoring the legend by naming a post office after the “Respect” singer.
Members of Franklin’s family along with city officials and longtime postal worker and state representative, U.S. Rep. Brenda Lawrence spoke at the event, “Her legacy lives on in her music, in her family. But we have added to that list of her legacy: A post office with her name on it.”
The Fox Creek post office is now named, “Aretha Franklin Post Office Building”
Do you believe this is a good honor for the “Queen of Soul?”
