During Missy Elliott’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, the iconic rapper received a touching video message from another iconic figure, Janet Jackson.

“Your music, kids still live for it to this very day,” Jackson said in the clip. “You are always ahead of the curve. It’s been a long journey on a very tough road that only a few arrive to,” Jackson said, adding, “I am so proud of you and I love you so much.”

Missy was visibly emotional while watching Jackson’s video. Other artists who delivered moving speeches in honor of Missy included MC Lyte, LL Cool J, and Lizzo.
