Snoop Dogg revealed during a recent “Full Send” podcast that Taylor Swift almost inspired him to remaster his debut album, “Doggystyle.” Snoop says that although it works for Taylor, it wasn’t something that would work for him because he wouldn’t be able to remake the magic of the tracks. “That s–t was a feeling, that s–t was a moment,” he said. Instead, the Doggfather decided to get his music back by buying Death Row Records. Snoop explained that most artists can remaster their music after seven years to reclaim ownership. Once Snoop acquired Death Row he removed his work from streaming platforms. Those platforms get millions and millions and millions of streams, and nobody gets paid other than the record labels,” said Snoop who has decided to put his music out on a “Death Row,” app.
