A memorial honoring Martin Luther King Jr. and his wife Coretta Scott King is under construction in Boston.
The 22-foot tall bronze sculpture is titled ‘The Embrace’, and will portray the couple’s arms intertwined. Groundbreaking for the memorial was held earlier this week.
Boston is where King met his future wife in 1952, when both were college students.
The memorial is scheduled to be unveiled on MLK Day of 2023.
Should Boston already have an MLK memorial, considering the city plays such an important role in his life?
