The Real ID Deadline Is May 2023

If you haven’t gotten your Real ID yet, you have a year left to make it happen, and if you don’t, you can’t fly domestically.
The original deadline was October 2020 to have the ID if you were traveling, but because of COVID, the deadline date was pushed back several times.
Now, U.S. travelers 18 and older must have a REAL ID-compliant license when checking in with TSA.
If you don’t have the ID by the 2023 deadline, you’ll need to show a valid passport, trusted traveler program card, a permanent resident card. Kids traveling with an adult won’t need ID.

Do you have your Real ID license yet?
