(Washington, DC) — D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine is going after a tax service. Racine has filed suit against Liberty Tax Service over its “cash in a flash” incentive program. The suit alleges that the program, which started in 2015, actually resulted in extra charges for customers. Racine says customers got fifty-dollars cash as part of the incentive but wound up paying for their own incentive. The suit claims that some customers paid upwards of two-hundred-dollars for participating. The Attorney General says he hopes D.C. wins the suit to help customers get some of their money back.
