Georgia’s first Black senator, Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock has defeated Republican Herschel Walker.
The victory earns a six-year term for Warnock and gives Democrats a 51-49 edge in the Senate.
Former President Obama spoke during Warnock’s campaign, mentioning Walker’s debate of “whether it’s better to be a vampire or a werewolf. This is a debate that, I must confess, I once had myself. When I was seven.”

The campaign ran into other moments, when Warnock also made a mockery of the former NFL players false statements claiming he worked as a cop.
Nothing topped the moment when, Senator Lindsey Graham in so many words addressed Walker as a token for the Republican party. “Walker changes the entire narrative… We’re a party of racists, Sean, me and you are racist and the party is racist and what happens when the Republican party elects and nominates Walker.”

Oddly the runoff was close, but Warnock was able to speak with his supporters.“After a hard-fought campaign, or should I say campaigns, it is my honor to utter the four most powerful words ever spoken in a democracy: The people have spoken,” he said.
