Halle Bailey was touched by her sister Chloe‘s kind words while discussing her role in the upcoming Disney live-action remake of ‘The Little Mermaid.’

Ahead of the film’s upcoming release, Halle Bailey stopped by the Tamron Hall Show to share her thoughts on the movie, and there was one moment that caught the attention of fans.

During their conversation, the host revealed she had a surprise message for the actress and singer from “someone special” — her older sister, Chloe Bailey. The young star was left in tears by the heartwarming message.

“Halle I love you so much,” Chloe began. “I am just so incredibly proud of you. I am the proudest sister in the entire world.” She continued: “Thank you for inspiring me. I’m so proud of you. I’m so happy the world gets to see your light, [which] [is] something that I’ve always seen since we were little girls. Just enjoy it.”

The Little Mermaid is set to hit theaters for everyone on May 26th, 2023.
