I have to tell you about my spectacular journey on the Disney Cruise! There were so many highlights… but, let me try to narrow down a few:
Let’s start with the food! Or maybe I should start with the service! Everyone made me feel as if I was the most important person on the ship. This was the case for the entire time I was aboard the Disney Dream. There was obviously no shortage on delicious food! From the morning breakfast buffet, to the fine dining rooms, the food was exceptional.
Now to the fun of it all. I noticed this water ride that went around the top It changed my world to take a splash down the Aqua Duck! It takes water slide to the next level..as you take a water tour around the top of the ship… Of course once was nowhere near enough! So, I went back for more.
On costume night, I channeled my inner Betty Boop, while my friend CC was the first Mrs. Incredible wearing braids. She rocked it! Speaking of dressing up, we all pulled out our best pirate gear for the Pirates of The Caribbean party that ended with fireworks! We danced the night away on the top deck!
And, were we on Broadway? It surely seemed like it. From the Golden Mickeys, to Believe, to my favorite of all time, Beauty & The Beast! Wow! Having an opportunity to go backstage, meet many of the cast members, and walk the catwalk with some of the cast members was the highlight of my entire cruise. I even wore one of the most extravagant headdresses in the show. I felt like a Show Girl! 😉
When we arrived on the island of Castaway Cay, I was captivated by the white sandy beaches! the crystal clear, aquamarine water was calling my name! Yes, I had to take a dip in the ocean…then became a beach bum… While it was fun seeing all the kids have fun on the cruise, it was nice to get away to the adults only beach on Castaway Cay.
