Washington, D.C. (Thursday, August 22, 2019) – I Scream. You Scream. We All Scream for Ice Cream. Nothing is better on a hot August day than ice cream. WHUR and Wells Fargo made the summertime favorite even better today by treating more than 140 customers at “Here’s the Scoop” on Georgia Avenue in NW, to free ice cream cones.
It’s all part of the WHUR and Wells Fargo “Pay It Forward Thursdays,” a weekly initiative designed to spur kindness in the DMV. WHUR and Wells Fargo team members have been popping up at businesses across the region for the past five weeks to pay the bills of unsuspecting customers.
“Here’s the Scoop” customers standing in line at the ice cream and dessert shop were super excited to know they were getting hooked up with their favorite flavors.
