Claws actress Niecy Nash announced Wednesday that she and her husband Jay Tucker have separated. She announced their split in a heartfelt Instagram post.
“Our truth is that in this season of our lives, we are better friends than partners in marriage,” it reads.
The couple married in May 2011 after dating for awhile. This was her second marriage after divorcing from her first husband, Don Nash in 2007. She and Nash have three children together.
It seems like the two still have a lot of love for each other.
The Instagram post reads, “And as we go our separate ways now, we feel fortunate for the love we share – present tense.”
In an interview in ESSENCE in August, Nash shared their love for each other.
“When they see us out in the public, we are exactly the way we are in a curated life on Instagram,” she said. “People think that we like each other, and that’s because we do.”
