(Washington, DC) — The first snow of the season could fall on the DC area early Wednesday. Rain is expected to give way to snow showers after midnight tonight as arctic air moves over the area. Forecasters say a slushy mix of rain and snow will arrive just in time for the Wednesday morning commute. Most of the area will stay above freezing, as lows will be in the low to mid-30s. Temperatures may fall to the mid to upper 20s by Thursday.
