We previously reported that LeBron was on pace to become a billionaire earlier in July. After a slam dunk in the box offices with Space Jam, LeBron was annouced as the first active player in basketball to make $1 billion in career earnings.

CBS Sports reports that LeBron has made $330 Million from NBA contracts, and another $700 Million in endorsements, merchandise, and licensing media.

” His endorsements with AT&T, Beats, Blaze Pizza, GMC, PepsiCo, Rimowa and Walmart bring in over $100 million annually alone. That’s on top of the gobs of money he makes through his partnership with Nike, with which he signed a lifetime deal back in 2016 that brings in $30 million annually on its own.”

LeBron is the first NBA player to reach this milestone while still actively playing, and joins an elite club of 5 other athletes to reach this. Names like golfer Tiger Woods, boxer Flloyd Maywether, tennis player Rodger Federer, and soccer players Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The sky is the limit for LeBron who is one of the most popular athletes in the world on and off the court.
