Shaquille O’Neal Says He Doesn’t Regret Turning Down The Green Mile

Shaquille O’Neal will be forever etched into the fabric of the NBA and its history. The Hall of Famer knows his limits and says he doesn’t regret turning down Stephen King’s “The Green Mile.”

“I didn’t want to play the down-South African American guy during slavery, you know what I mean? I didn’t want to play that role. But the guy who played it did a wonderful job,” Shaq recently told The Marchand and Ourand Sports Media Podcast, “Michael Clarke Duncan did an excellent job, so I think I made the right decision…”

Shaq is right, Michael Clarke Duncan received a best supporting actor nomination at the Academy Awards before passing away in 2012.

How do you think The Green Mile would’ve turned out had Shaq played John Coffey?
