Whether it’s making us laugh, or playing a track super star, Tiffany Haddish can do it all. A Grammy Award winning actress, Haddish’s next role is in a biopic of the legendary track star Florence Joyner or better known as “Flo-Jo.”

Deadline first reported that Haddish will star as Flo-Jo as well as help produce the biopic and podcast with game1.

“Flo-Jo was an elite track and field athlete in the 1980s and was named the fastest woman in the world after setting sprint records in the 100m and 200m races at the 1988 Summer Olympics. After retiring from sports a year after her record-breaking wins, Flo-Jo died at 38 after suffering an epileptic seizure.” said BET in a statement about the upcoming biopic.

“I am looking forward to telling Flo-Jo’s story the way it should be told,” said Haddish. “My goal with this film is making sure that younger generations know my ‘she-ro’ Flo-Jo, the fastest woman in the world to this day, existed.” said Haddish when asked about the biopic.

While a release date is unknown, you can expect Haddish to do an amazing job as she has shown in the past of her award winning acting career.
