Congratulations to Tyler Perry on adding another honor to his list of accolades. The writer, actor, and director was awarded the Impact Award at this year’s Apollo Spring Benefit. Tyler was presented the award by Whoopi Goldberg who called him, “all the things I hoped I would see when I looked to ‘the best.'” The night also featured appearances by Stephanie Mills, The Roots, and Anthony Anderson, and was hosted by Kenan Thompson.
