Viola Davis is an uncanny Michelle Obama in the new trailer for Showtime’s series, ‘First Lady.’
Along with Viola Davis as Michelle Obama, the newly released trailer features Michelle Pfieffer as Betty Ford and Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt. The series will welcome audiences behind the doors of the Oval office.
An intimate scene of Viola Davis laying on O-T Fagbenle, playing Barack Obama, captures the private thoughts of the former First Lady, “In four years, I don’t want to look back and think, ‘What did I become living in that house?”
In an interview last year with Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier, Michelle Obama shared her delight with Davis playing her in the Showtime Series. “She’s the greatest,” Obama puts simply, “I feel that I’m not worthy. It’s exciting and anything Viola does, she does it with passion and vigor, and I know that she will do no less for this role.”
‘First Lady’ is a 10-episode series produced by Lionsgate Television.
Tune in to Showtime on April 17th.
