U.S. SUPREME COURT JUSTICE KATANJI BROWN-JACKSON IS IN BIRMINGHAM. SHE’S THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT A MEMORIAL SERVICE THIS MORNING, MARKING THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 16TH STREET BAPTIST CHURCH BOMBING. THE EVENT HONORS THE FOUR LITTLE GIRLS WHO WERE KILLED IN THE ATTACK IN 1963. THE JUSTICE’S VISIT TO BIRMINGHAM IS PART OF THE CITY’S FORGING JUSTICE COMMEMORATION WEEK, WHICH RUNS THROUGH SATURDAY.
