8-Year-old Killed By Stray Bullet In Landover, Md

Landover, Maryland (Wednesday, August 25, 2021) – Prince George’s County police are looking for a gunman who opened fire Tuesday night outside a Landover, Maryland apartment complex striking an 8-year-old in the head.

The child was inside an apartment in the 1600 block of Brightseat Road around 8:20pm.  Police Chief Malik Aziz says a white sedan drove into the parking lot and a man got out of the vehicle opening fire on multiple units.  The boy was struck and killed.

“Our hearts are heavy.  We intend to find the person responsible,” said Chief Aziz.  The child’s identity has not been released.
