Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks is planning to address the growing number of fatal accidents on county roads due to distracted drivers. At 12:30 Alsobrooks along with Prince George’s County Police Cheif Hank Stanwinski and State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy will discuss efforts to cut the number of distracted fatal accidents along county roadways .
There have been a number of fatal and horrific crashes in Prince George’s County that have grabbed the headlines. The death of three little children riding in a car on 210 with their parents was one of them. Two of the children were 5 and one was 1-years-old. They were sitting in their family vehicle at a traffic light when a driver believed to have been under the influenced slammed into the back of them after a Washington NFL game. Today’s press conference will be held at the Police Department’s Headquarters at 7600 Barlowe Road, Palmer Park, Maryland.
