(Jefferson City, MO) — Another restrictive state abortion bill is on the verge of becoming law. Missouri lawmakers have approved a measure banning abortions after eight weeks of pregnancy. Republican Governor Mike Parson is expected to sign the bill. The measure contains exceptions for medical emergencies but not for rape or incest. The legislative moves in Missouri follow passage of a state law in Alabama which outlaws most abortions.
