Summer travel season is winding down, but we’re checking in with a much bigger conversation. Who owns the hotels where you are staying, and why does that ownership matter? The issues could be where you spend our travel dollars or creating a pipeline for more Black entrepreneurs to become hotel owners and developers. Keeping in line with this travel theme… there’s a lot to unpack. We revist the journey of an African American hotel owner from right here in the DMV. We’ll also talk about the opportunities—and the challenges—of building more Black ownership in the hotel industry.
