Court Hearing For Wife Who Shot Husband In DC Hotel Room

The woman who shot her husband in a DC hotel room will appear in court today.  Police say Shanteari Weems shot her husband at the Mandarin Hotel in Southwest DC on Thursday after receiving allegations from parents and children that her spouse, a retired Baltimore City police officer, had sexually molested children at the Owings Mills daycare she runs.  Weems’ husband suffered non-threatening injuries in the shooting.  Shanteari Weems faces charges of attempted murder.
