D.C. Council To Consider Vaccine Mandate

Some council members are encouraging the COVID vaccine to be part of the list of immunizations students are required to receive every school year.

(Washington, DC) — D.C. Council is set to consider a vaccine mandate for students. A virtual public hearing on the mandate is scheduled for today. The Council legislation would require all eligible students in D.C. Public Schools, public charter schools, independent, private, and parochial schools to get the vaccine by December 15th. The vaccine mandate would be waived if the student is exempt for religious or medical reasons.
