DOJ: Trump Team Likely Concealed Classified Documents At Mar-a-Lago

Trump has until Wednesday evening to respond to the government’s filing.

(West Palm Beach, FL)  —  The Justice Department is revealing why prosecutors applied for a search warrant for former President Donald Trump’s Florida home.  They did so after receiving evidence of a “likely” effort to hide classified documents in defiance of a grand jury subpoena.  The DOJ made that argument in a Tuesday night filing in its response to Trump’s request for an independent third party, or a so-called special master.  That individual would review documents and papers FBI agents seized when they executed a search warrant earlier this month.  Trump has until Wednesday evening to respond to the government’s filing.
