DC is joining forces with a brewery to provide free beer today to adults who roll up their sleeves and take the J&J one shot COVID vaccine.

Washington, D.C. (Thursday, May 6, 2021) – D.C. officials are pulling out all the stops to get people to roll up their sleeves and take the COVID-19 vaccine.  Mayor Muriel Bowser has announced that anyone over the age of 21 who gets the Johnson and Johnson vaccine today at the Kennedy Center from 4pm to 8pm will receive a free beer.  It’s courtesy of Solar Brewing Company.  You don’t need an appointment.

The city is hoping to get its vaccination numbers up.  At present, just over 36% of D.C. residents have been partially vaccinated.  22% are fully vaccinated.
