Governor Wants State Employees To Return To Work Offices

Virginia state employees who have been working from home since the COVID-19 pandemic will have to return to their workplace offices if Virginia’s top elected official has his way.  Governor Glenn Youngkin says he wants state workers to return to the office full-time by July 5th.  State employees who want to continue to work remotely, for health or other reasons, have until May 20th to apply for an exception.
D.C. government employees returned to their workplace offices in June of last year. Maryland State employees returned in July.
