Washington, D.C. (Tuesday, April 9, 2024) – Details are still very sketchy. But D.C. Fire and EMS says an adult male was fatally struck by a Metro train around 11:45 p.m. at the Stadium-Armory station in SE.
It is not clear how or why the man got onto the tracks. The incident forced delays overnight on the Orange, Blue, and Silver lines. Buses were brought in to shuttle impacted passengers. The area was back to normal by 1 a.m.
The man’s identity has not yet been released. The fatality is under investigation.
