(Rockville, MD) – Mayoral and City Council races will be decided today across Maryland. Mayoral elections are on the ballot in Bowie and Laurel, and those cities, along with Gaithersburg will choose who sits on the City Council. In Rockville, voters will decide between Council members Monique Ashton and Mark Pierzchala to become the next mayor. Also before the voters: whether non-citizens and residents as young as age 16 will receive the right to vote in local elections.
