The mix-up happened September 18 when child and her family went to a Walgreens for flu shots and the pharmacist mistakenly vaccinated her against COVID. The Pfizer vaccine is not approved for children under 12, but the company is seeking clearance from federal regulators. According to the Baltimore Sun the family is not planning to ask Maryland regulators to investigate. Walgreens has apologized to the family.
