MD Legislators Tying Up Loose Ends Before Session Ends

State delegates and senators have packed agendas all the way to the midnight deadline.

(Annapolis, MD) — Maryland state lawmakers have a lot to clear from their plates before the General Assembly’s scheduled midnight adjournment. Legislators will be working all day and night to square away some loose ends on bills related to gun control and the Maryland 529 tuition savings program. Others that need some final touches would expand offshore wind projects and establish a committee to look into delays on improvements slated for Laurel Park and Pimlico race courses. Although many of the major issues for this session are settled, state delegates and senators have packed agendas all the way to the midnight deadline.
