MSU Shooter Had Note Threatening Two NJ Schools

(Undated) — Authorities say gunman in the mass shooting at Michigan State University had a note in his pocket threatening two New Jersey public schools. Ewing Township school district in New Jersey closed all of its schools this morning as a precaution. The schools superintendent said information from the investigation indicated the shooter had local ties to Ewing. However, he had not lived in the area for several years. The gunman killed at least three people and injured at least five others at Michigan State University before turning the weapon on himself last night.

This booking photo provided by Michigan Department of Corrections shows Anthony McRae. Police identified McRae, who killed three students and wounded five at Michigan State University, saying Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023 that a tip from the public led to a confrontation with officers miles from campus where the gunman fatally shot himself.
