Monday, February 17, 2020 – Hundreds of U.S. passengers who had been aboard that coronavirus stricken cruise liner in Japan are back in the U.S. But they are not able to go about their normal lives, just yet. Two planes carrying 328 Americans arrived at military bases last night in Texas and California.
14 Americans from the Diamond Princess cruise ship have tested positive for the virus. The State Department announced early today that the 14 had the virus. But were allowed to return to the U.S. because they were not yet showing any symptoms.
All of the passengers must now go through 14 days of quarantine at the military bases. That’s on top of the other 14 days of isolation they were forced to undergo while on the cruise ship.
