PG Basketball Player Home from Ukraine

Maurice “Mo” Creek is happy to be home after a weeklong ordeal in war torn Ukraine.

Upper Marlboro, MD (Friday, March 4, 2022) – 31-year-old Maurice “Mo” Creek is safely back home at his Upper Marlboro, Maryland home after a week-long ordeal trying to get out of the war torn Ukraine.  Creek touched down with much fanfare Thursday at Dulles Airport with family, friends, and well-wishers cheering him home.

Creek had been living in Ukraine to live out his dream of playing professional basketball.  He says someday he hopes to return.  But for now, he’s just praying for the people there.

A welcome home celebration for Creek will be held Saturday, March 5th from 3pm to 5pm at the Southern Regional Technology and Recreation Center @ 7007 Bock Road Fort Washington, MD 20744.  The celebration is being hosted by Prince George’s County Council Chair Calvin Hawkins.
