(Memphis, TN) — A day after Shelby County Commissioners reinstated Representative Justin Pearson, he has been sworn back into the House. Pearson said he is glad to be able to get back to elevating the voices of those who were killed in the Covenant School shooting. Both Pearson and fellow Democratic Representative Justin Jones were expelled last week following gun protests at the capitol. Jones was also reinstated and both men are planning to run in a special election to retain their seats.
